I saw holiday on January 17 2011 which will be coming after few days. So I thought to share some thing about the holiday that we get on every Third Monday of January. This post will be useful for all those who are not aware with reason of getting holiday for Martin Luther King Jr. The Holiday was signed into law by President Ronald Reagan in 1983 and in 1986 it was observed first time in US. Also in 2000 it was officially observed in all 50 states.
Martin Luther King, Jr was born on January 15, 1929 at Atlanta, Georgia and died on April 4, 1968 at Memphis, Tennessee. He has played an important role as a leader in the African American Civil Rights Movement.
