Saint Patrick's Day 2011


17 March is celebrated as Saint Patrick's Day in the honor of Saint Patrick which is a public holiday in Ireland. It is also celebrated in Britain, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, United States and Argentina around the world. This day is basically observed by Irish people and even by the people from Irish ancestry.

Saint Patrick was born in Roman Britain in the 4th century and died on 17 March 461. St. Patrick used Shamrock to give explanation of Holy Trinity to the pagans, so Shamrock is also the National Flower of Ireland.
